The union between Wara and Sol de Primavera to establish a circular project is an admirable and sustainable initiative. The idea of making exclusive accessories from pieces of fabric from the workshop not only encourages the reduction of material waste, but also supports the financing of programs aimed at improving the quality of life of adolescents and young people in the city of Quito, Ecuador.
These circular projects are beneficial from both an environmental and social perspective. Some fundamental points of this initiative are:
Sustainability Reusing fabric fragments actively contributes to reducing textile waste, which is crucial to preserving the natural environment.
Empowerment By involving students in making accessories, they are given the opportunity to acquire skills and participate meaningfully in a project with a social purpose.
Financing for social programs: The income obtained from the sale of accessories, as well as 10% of the sale of clothing, is allocated to the financing of Sol de Primavera programs, allowing the foundation to continue developing its work in favor of coexistence without violence and improvement of the living conditions of young people in situations of poverty and extreme poverty.
Social conscience: This collaboration not only raises funds, but also raises awareness of social issues in Quito and highlights the importance of addressing them.
